Sustainable fashion has never felt cooler.
Here at Zeitgeist, we believe that the granola brands and overpriced snoozefests in the sustainable fashion industry just aren't going to cut it. Ethical clothing can, and should, be accessible to everyone. Our sustainable streetwear and curated vintage clothing is designed for fashion lovers who follow trends like Google Maps directions, stalk celeb style as much as their exes social media accounts, and would shop till they drop if their bank accounts allowed it.
We're here to prove that sustainability doesn't require sacrificing an ounce of style. It’s about progress, not perfection.
Local Sourcing
Our upcycled streetwear and vintage clothing are thoughtfully curated from the best vintage shops, flea markets, and hidden gems throughout New York City.
Sustainable Materials
While the majority of Zeitgeist garments are made using upcycled vintage garments, occasional products call for new materials. We promise to minimize the environmental impact of our textiles whenever possible. We use organic cotton and recycled polyester to stay as sustainable as we can.
Thoughtful Packaging
To reduce the environmental impact of our packaging, we wrap each Zeitgeist shipment in vintage sewing patterns instead of single-use plastics or paper. Not only is our vintage packing paper eco-friendly, it's cute AF too.
Closing the Loop
The fashion industry produces nearly 100 million tons of textile waste annually. That's why we ensure not a thread goes to waste. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we've been using our leftover textiles to sew reusable fabric face masks. All post-production textiles we're unable to use are donated to a textile recycling program.
Sustainability efforts still in progress:
For the sake of transparency, here are a few things we're still perfecting: reducing water waste and pollution during our dying process, finding more sustainable shipping methods, kicking our addiction to Starbucks iced coffee.
